200 g sugar
500 g butter or margarine with 80% fat content
800 g wheat flour
100 g eggs
100 g 30% whipping cream
40 g baking powder
200 g orange flavored Lauretta filling
To layer with filling:
About 500 g of apricot or cherry flavored Lauretta filling
To decorate:
About 500 g of kiwi, raspberry or lemon flavored Lauretta filling
Our procucts used in this recipe:
Mix the sugar with butter, add the orange flavored Lauretta filling, eggs and whipping cream. Mix all thoroughly at the lowest mixer speed.
In the final stage of mixing, add the flour with baking powder and mix briefly until the flour is no longer visible.
Divide the dough into two parts and place in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Roll the chilled dough into an oval shape, or any other shape you like, punch holes, and then bake at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
Once cooled, spread the shortcrust pastry layers with cherry or apricot flavored Lauretta filling. The recommended filling thickness is about 4 mm.
Decorate the top of the mazurek with remaining kiwi, raspberry or lemon flavored Lauretta fillings to create a colorful mosaic pattern, and add fancy shortcrust pastry elements.
